Tamiya 1:12 Scale Model Bike Kit Series: Ducati Superleggera V4
Top Performer Announced in February 2020, Ducati's Superleggera V4 utilizes the Panigale V4 as a base and features a strong focus upon lightness: cowlings, frame, swing arm and wheels are carbon fiber components, while power is supplied by a 998cc V4 engine that - in conjunction with an Akrapovic circuit exhaust - gives an impressive 234hp output. Highly distinctive "biplane wings" on the front cowl give the Superleggera V4 a strong visual identity and contribute to an impressive 50kg of downforce at 270km/h. Only 500 of the full size Superleggera V4 were available for purchase, making this crystallization of Ducati's engineering and aerodynamic expertise an elusive catch indeed.

Tamiya 1:12 Scale Model Bike Kit Series: Ducati Desmosedici
Italian Quality and Style Desmosedici is a compound word made from the Italian for sixteen, "sedici" and the name of Ducati's trademark desmodromic valve design. The DOHC 16 V4 engine is composed of two 90 degree L twin components held together in a tubular steel truss-frame, with swing arm and rear shock pivots directly attached to engine in a truly original fashion. The sleek and powerful bike was piloted in its debut 2003 MotoGP season by L. Capirossi, former 125 and 250cc class title holder, and World Superbike Champion T. Bayliss. The GP4 really showed its stuff during its 2003 debut season, taking 3rd place at Suzuka and winning 1st at Catalunya. Maintaining the same basic structure in 2004, Ducati brushed up everything from the engine to the body to make an even higher performance superbike. While the Desmosedici GP4 had a difficult first half of the season, it began to show results towards the end, with L. Capirossi winning 3rd place in round 15. T. Bayliss also took 3rd in the final round, ending Ducati's season on a high-note, and promising further excitement still to come! Build either Capirossi or Bayliss's bike High quality Cartograf decals for Capirossi's No.65 bike and Bayliss's No.12 bike are included. Separate parts allow accurate depiction of each rider's custom seat, further enhancing realism. About the Model Detailed 1/12 assembly model kit of the 2004 Ducati Desmosedici

In conjunction with Honda’s computerized fuel injection system, the 500cc engine produced an impressive 82hp. Other technical advances included a cowling which was designed through extensive wind tunnel testing, Honda’s unique Pro-Link rear suspension, and a 4-step adjustable anti nose dive front suspension. With its progressive design and excellent power, the CX500 was one of the most significant motorcycles ever produced.

Tamiya 1:12 Scale Model Bike Kit Series: Honda RS1000 Endurance Racer
Tamiya is delighted to announce an updated re-issue of Item 14014 1/12 Honda RS1000 Endurance Racer from the last production in 2015 with a newly-added B5-size double-sided pamphlet with color photos of the fullsize bike for painting reference, and updated instruction manual.
In 1980, Japan got in on endurance racing with the addition of the Suzuka 8 Hours event. Honda is synonymous with Japanese motorcycle engineering and was an early Japanese endurance pioneer. In 1976, their CB750-based RCB bike took an impressive seven wins in eight races and gave rise to the 900cc DOHC engine CB900F, its road-going replica. The CB900F in turn provided the base for the Honda RS1000, which was developed to align with the new rules put in place after the endurance series attained World Championship status in 1980. Its air-cooled DOHC 16-valve inlinefour engine was bored out to 999cc and gave over 130hp, and while its relatively conventional setup saw a front telescopic fork and rear swing arm, in 1981 the front was fitted with an anti-dive system to go along with larger cowlings; throughout its career, the RS1000 was continually updated. In 1980 the Fontan/Moineau partnership brought home the riders’ championship and what was Honda’s fifth manufacturers’ title in a row; the next year, the RS1000 was an ever-present in all eight races, while they were ultimately beaten to the title by Kawasaki, the Honda RS1000 took victory in front of the home fans in the July running of the Suzuka 8 Hours.
